BEIJING — The value of bonds issued in China last year totaled 45.3 trillion yuan (about $6.6 trillion), up 3.1 percent from the previous year, official data showed on Jan 19.
The value of treasury bonds stood at 4 trillion yuan, while that of local government bonds was 4.4 trillion yuan, according to the People's Bank of China.
Financial bonds issued in 2019 were valued at 6.9 trillion yuan, and corporate debentures at 9.7 trillion yuan.
At the end of December, total outstanding bonds reached 99.1 trillion yuan, showed the data.
