BEIJING — China's beer industry reported steady expansion in 2019 with leading output and growth rate in the alcohol-making sector, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed.
The annual output of companies above designated size came in at 37.65 million kiloliters, up 1.1 percent year-on-year, according to the NBS.
In December alone, the output increased 17.1 percent year-on-year to 2.42 million kiloliters.
Chinese alcohol-making enterprises above designated size saw their output reach 55.90 million kiloliters in 2019, up 0.3 percent over one year earlier, NBS data showed.
