BEIJING — China's crude oil output rose 2.4 percent year-on-year to 48.57 million metric tons in the first quarter (Q1) of 2020, official data showed.
During the same period, China processed about 149.28 million tons of crude oil, down 4.6 percent year-on-year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In March, China's crude oil output edged down 0.1 percent year-on-year to 16.56 million tons, and the country processed about 50.04 million tons of crude oil, down 6.6 percent.
In the first three months, China imported 127.19 million tons of crude oil, rising 5 percent year-on-year.
