BEIJING — Prices of farm produce in China continued the upward trend last week, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed on Aug 11.

From Aug 3 to 9, the overall price of farm produce went up 0.5 percent on a weekly basis, compared with a 0.8-percent gain one week earlier.

In breakdown, the wholesale price of pork rose 1.2 percent to 48.75 yuan (about $7) per kg, while the price of beef and mutton edged up 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively.
