BEIJING — China's home appliance sector posted rising output in November, data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed.
The country's refrigerator and washing machine makers saw double-digit growth in output last month. The output of refrigerators and washing machines amounted to 8.99 million and 8.57 million sets, up 22.5 percent and 13.1 percent from a year earlier, respectively.
China's air conditioner output went up 5.5 percent year-on-year to 17.72 million sets in November, the ministry said.
In the first 11 months, China's refrigerator output came in at 82.6 million sets, up 6.3 percent year-on-year, while the output of washing machines posted a 3.6-percent yearly increase to stand at 72.29 million sets, according to the ministry.
