BEIJING — China's electronic information manufacturing sector logged growth in revenues and profits in the first 11 months of 2020, official data showed.
Total profits of firms with annual revenues of more than 20 million yuan (about $3.07 million) surged 15.7 percent year-on-year, while the operating revenues of these firms rose 7.8 percent, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The value-added output of major electronic information manufacturers rose 7.2 percent year-on-year in the January-November period, and fixed-asset investment in the industry increased 14.5 percent from a year earlier.
In November alone, the output of smartphones rose 5.7 percent year-on-year, while the output of laptops surged 47.8 percent.
