According to the Ministry of Transport, the throughput of nationwide ports reached 1.29 billion metric tons in January, a year-on-year increase of 17.4 percent, and the container throughput reached 2.37 million standard containers, up by 13.2 percent.

Just on the day of Lunar New Year’s Eve, the total throughput at Guangzhou port reached 1.23 million tons, and 30,300 standard containers.

While giving full play to its advantage in road, railway, and water transportation, Nanjing port Longtan Container saw an increase of 22 percent in domestic trade year-on-year in January.

During Spring Festival, 621 vessels left from or docked at Qingdao Port, which was an increase of 29.11 percent over last year.
