ZHENGZHOU — Central China's Henan province saw robust growth in its foreign trade in the first two months of 2021, local customs said on March 17.
The total import and export values reached 133.78 billion yuan (about $20.56 billion) in the January-February period, up 125.4 percent year-on-year, ranking first in terms of growth rate in the country, data from the Zhengzhou Customs showed.
Of the total, exports soared to 83.18 billion yuan, marking a 128.8-percent increase from the same period last year, while imports jumped 120.1 percent year-on-year to 50.6 billion yuan.
The exports of mobile phones and mechanical and electronic products saw a strong increase.
Among the major trading partners, the province's trade with the United States saw a nearly 3.62-fold increase year-on-year to 29.42 billion yuan in the period.
