BEIJING — China's postal industry saw steady expansion in business revenue and parcels handled in January, data from the State Post Bureau showed.
The sector raked in over 127.11 billion yuan (about $20.1 billion) last month, up 8.7 percent year-on-year, according to the bureau.
China's courier companies handled 8.77 billion parcels in January, up 3.3 percent from a year earlier. Their combined business revenue reached 91.73 billion yuan during the period, rising 5.7 percent year-on-year.
The bureau expected the courier industry's business revenue to reach 1.16 trillion yuan in 2022, up 12 percent from the previous year, with parcels handled totaling 122.5 billion.
