Updated: March 27, 2022 14:29 Xinhua

BEIJING — China's road logistics price index dipped in February from a year ago, partly affected by the weeklong Spring Festival holiday, industry data showed.

The index came in at 98.3 last month, edging down 0.9 percent year-on-year and decreasing 2.19 percent on a monthly basis, according to a survey jointly conducted by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and a Chinese company.

The survey attributed the decline mainly to demand decrease during the Spring Festival holiday, which ended on Feb 6.

The road logistics industry is expected to rebound based on favorable market expectations and the coordination of demand and supply.

China's road logistics price index is based on the average price in the last week of December 2012, with the monthly index starting point at 100.
