BEIJING, Jan. 19 -- Commercial vehicle sales in China soared 20 percent year on year in 2023, industry data shows.

A total of 3.26 million such vehicles were sold domestically last year, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

China exported some 770,000 commercial vehicles in 2023, jumping 32.2 percent from one year earlier, said the association.

The country's truck sales surged 22.4 percent year on year in 2023, while those of coaches rose 20.6 percent, the data also reveals.
