BEIJING, May 19 -- The State Council, China's cabinet, on Friday announced the appointment and removal of officials.

Li Yunze was appointed head of the National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA). Cao Yu, Zhou Liang, Xiao Yuanqi and Cong Lin were named deputy head of the NFRA.

Zhang Jiasheng was appointed deputy head of the General Administration of Sport of China.

Huang Jinsheng was named head of the National Mine Safety Administration, replacing Huang Yuzhi. Huang was also removed from the post of vice minister of emergency management.

Lei Ping was appointed deputy head of the National Medical Products Administration.
