Summer harvest has started in full swing across China this year. In central China, Xiangyang City in Hubei Province has entered its wheat harvest period this year, with more than 30,000 harvesters being put into operation. During the seedling season from late autumn to early winter last year, the planting area of wheat in the city increased by nearly 3,000 hectares. Meanwhile, in Henan Province, the growing area of winter wheat remained above 5.67 million hectares last year.
Also, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, more than 60 percent of winter wheat has been harvested in southwest China.
