The Tibet autonomous region announced a plan to introduce talent to the region this year during a promotion activity in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, on Tuesday, local media reported.

It aimed to promote the region's recruitment policy, lay out the region's need for talent and technical cooperation, and build a talent exchange and cooperation platform.

Under the plan, the region will offer 324 jobs to high-quality workers with a focus on plateau ecology, geology, medicine, agriculture, animal husbandry, digital technology, clean energy and education.

Those hired will be eligible for subsidies ranging from 200,000 yuan ($28,000) to 2 million yuan. They will also receive policy support from the regional government in the form of job benefits, professional title evaluation, housing, family relocation and medical security.

Tibet also announced another talent recruitment plan to identify people at various levels, along with technological innovation teams, to contribute to the development of major industries and key sectors such as natural sciences and engineering technology. They will be provided with a subsidy of 200,000 yuan, as well as up to 10 million yuan in project funding.

Tibet also plans to encourage more talent intermediary agencies, units and individuals to introduce high-level talent to the region.

At the promotion activity on Tuesday, Yin Chunhui, deputy leader of the 10th Batch of Aid-Tibet Cadres and Talents, said local authorities are vigorously working to attract high-level talent from all over the world, according to a report by Yangcheng Evening News.

"The development momentum of contemporary Tibet is thriving. Various undertakings are at a critical period, and the need for technological innovation is more urgent than ever before," Yin was quoted as saying by Yangcheng. "We will provide opportunities for ambitious individuals from all over to start businesses and showcase and develop their work in Tibet."
