Four expressways in Hami City, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, opened to traffic on June 30. The S519 is a two-way, four-lane highway that connects Wutongdaquan with Shaquanzi and runs 80.8 kilometers from north to south. It links to two major trunk lines: the Beijing-Xinjiang and Lianyungang-Khorgos expressways. Sections of G331, G312 and S238 highways were also open to traffic on the same day. The inauguration of these highways further improves the transportation network in eastern Xinjiang.
