China's self-developed large amphibious aircraft, the AG600, has completed typical firefighting verification test flights, marking its ability to perform firefighting tasks, its developer Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) announced on July 18.
Codenamed Kunlong, the AG600 is a key piece of aeronautical equipment in China's emergency-rescue system.
It has been put into verification tests in recent years concerning aircraft safety, fire suppression function effectiveness, typical plain/plateau mission scenarios, flight support capabilities and emergency responses.
