BEIJING, Sept. 14 -- Chinese authorities on Thursday evening continued to issue a yellow alert for possible geological disasters triggered by heavy rainfall in some regions of east and south China.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and the China Meteorological Administration jointly warned of the risks of rain-induced geological disasters in parts of south central and northeastern Jiangxi and northern Guangdong from 8 p.m. Thursday to 8 p.m. Friday.
