The world's largest offshore wind power facility in terms of single-unit capacity, located in Fujian Province and operated by China Three Gorges Corporation, has been fully connected to the grid and started generating electricity on September 17. The wind farm consists of 11 offshore wind turbine units, including the world's largest 16-megawatt offshore wind turbine unit. The wind turbine will generate around 360 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 283,800 tonnes.
