BEIJING, Sept. 26 -- China will from this year to 2025 promote the development of safety and emergency equipment with a focus on earthquakes, floods, fires and other disasters, according to an action plan publicized on Tuesday.
By 2025, the industry scale, product quality and application scale of safety and emergency equipment will be significantly improved, said the plan jointly released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and four other departments.
The supporting role of such equipment in disaster prevention, reduction and relief will be significantly enhanced, the plan added.
The industry scale of safety and emergency equipment is expected to exceed 1 trillion yuan (about 139.42 billion U.S. dollars) by 2025, according to the document.
