BEIJING, Oct. 18 -- Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang met with Argentine President Alberto Fernandez in Beijing on Wednesday.
Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the two countries' heads of state, the China-Argentina relationship has secured historic achievements and breakthroughs, and the comprehensive strategic partnership has been enriched.
China stands ready to work with Argentina to act on the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen the Belt and Road cooperation, and raise bilateral relations to new levels.
Fernandez hailed China's firm commitment to multilateralism and its actions to inject more certainty into global development.
Argentina is willing to actively participate in the Belt and Road cooperation and strengthen the practical cooperation between the two sides in various fields to bring more benefits to the people of the two countries, Fernandez added.
