HANGZHOU, Oct. 21 -- With one day to go until the opening ceremony, the torch relay of the Hangzhou Asian Para Games concluded in Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province on Saturday.
Sun Pengxiang, who is from Inner Mongolia and was a javelin champion at the Tokyo Paralympic Games with a new world record, was the first torchbearer among a total of 127 participating in the final leg.
The final torchbearer was Xu Haijiao, who won three silver and two bronze medals at the Rio and Tokyo Paralympics and will also participate in the Hangzhou Asian Para Games.
Xu carried the torch to the East Square of Hangzhou Olympic Centre Swimming Stadium and lit up the flame cauldron.
On October 22, the Hangzhou Asian Para Games will officially start and the flame will be used to ignite the main cauldron at the opening ceremony.
