The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area launched its first fixed-schedule China-Europe freight train on June 19.
Fixed-schedule trains are regular and have predetermined departure times, routes and stops. The service aims to enhance logistical efficiency in trade exchanges between this key Chinese economic region and inland Europe. A freight train will now depart for Warsaw from Guangzhou International Port every Wednesday. The journey is expected to take 16 days, 30 percent less than other trains on the same route.
