Visa-free agreements between China and several countries have contributed to a steady increase in the number and frequency of flight routes in and out of China over recent months.
In the first half of this year, the Nanjing Border Inspection Station handled 1.334 million inbound and outbound passengers and 9,389 inbound and outbound flights, marking year-on-year increases of 129 percent and 102 percent, respectively. Among these, 125,000 foreign travelers were processed, a year-on-year increase of 121.07 percent. Around 11,000 of these were visa-free entries, representing a year-on-year surge of 4,962.84 percent.
