BEIJING, Aug. 2 -- The National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) on Friday announced a package of new measures encouraging TV stations to enrich programs through collaboration with internet platforms.
TV broadcasters will be supported to cooperate with internet platforms to bring excellent dramas, movies, documentaries, animations and variety shows produced by those platforms to TV screens, according to the NRTA document.
TV stations are also encouraged to pool their resources for major news programs and introduce preferential policies to encourage creative productions, particularly realistic productions.
They are also expected to import high-quality programs, including dramas, animations and documentaries.
