LNG receiving terminal in Tianjin witnesses surge in natural gas supply as heating season approaches

As the heating season approaches in many parts of north China, the LNG receiving terminal of Sinopec in Tianjin has witnessed a surge in the arrival of LNG container vessels in recent days. The terminal, which serves the seasonal peak-shaving and gas supply tasks for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, has unloaded 990,000 tonnes of LNG and supplied 900 million cubic meters of natural gas in September and October this year, a year-on-year increase of 87 percent and 20 percent, respectively.
