BEIJING, Feb. 4 -- China's Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday hosted the first of a 2026 series of events aimed at encouraging overseas exporters to sell to the Chinese market.

The series, "Big Market for All: Export to China," will feature over 100 events, with Britain, Kazakhstan, Kenya and Thailand among the countries invited to take part, according to the ministry.

The ministry said that the series will enhance supply-demand matching, and strengthen international exchanges, thereby bringing more high-quality products and services to Chinese consumers.

Speaking at the first event, which took place in Beijing, Commerce Minister Wang Wentao said that the series reflects China's proactive efforts to broaden its opening-up, boost imports and foster more balanced trade growth.

China welcomes all countries to seize the new opportunities offered by the series, which aims to make China a top export destination for more countries around the world, Wang said.
