SHENYANG — Northeast China's Liaoning province on Dec 16 launched a new air cargo route linking the city of Dalian with Seoul, capital of the Republic of Korea (ROK).
A charter cargo aircraft carrying 15 metric tons of mail and commodities including clothes and daily necessities departed from Dalian at 11:30 am Beijing Time on Dec 16 and arrived in Seoul at 12:40 pm on the same day.
The route is operated by China Postal Airlines and is the company's first direct air mail connection between Liaoning and the ROK. Two flights from Dalian to Seoul will be operated weekly, every Wednesday and Friday morning. The inbound flights will return in the afternoon of the same day.
The route will greatly enhance the efficiency of postage between the two cities and further promote economic, trade, and cultural cooperation between Liaoning and the ROK.
