HAIKOU — The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) will hold its annual conference from April 18 to 21 in Boao, a coastal town in China's southernmost province of Hainan, the secretariat of the forum said on Feb 25.
This year's conference will focus on global governance and the Belt and Road Initiative, and aims to build further consensus on and inject further impetus into global development and governance in the post-pandemic era, according to the secretariat.
The conference will be mainly held offline but parts will be held virtually in view of pandemic control and travel restrictions.
The 2020 BFA annual conference was canceled due to the raging COVID-19 pandemic.
Founded in 2001, the BFA is a nongovernmental and nonprofit international organization committed to promoting regional economic integration and bringing Asian countries closer to their development goals.
