Craftspeople participate in bamboo flute making contest in Hangzhou

More than 30 craftspeople participated in a bamboo flute making contest in Zijing village on Aug 18. Zhongtai subdistrict, widely noted for bamboo flutes, is home to more than 160 related enterprises with about 1,500 workers involved, producing over three million bamboo flutes annually. Various events including bamboo flute making and performing competitions and water concerts featuring bamboo flutes were held to pass on the craftsmanship and boost rural vitalization. [Photo/Xinhua]
