Main arch of Meixi River bridge in Chongqing closes, making way for traffic

The main arch of a double-track bridge over Meixi River in Southwest China's Chongqing was closed on Oct 30. As part of the Chongqing section of the Zhengzhou-Wanzhou High-speed Railway, the arch was successfully closed on Oct 30, laying the foundation for the whole high-speed line opening to traffic. From Central China's Zhengzhou city to Southwest Chongqing's Wanzhou, the high-speed line has a total length of 818 kilometers and an allowable speed of 350 km/h. It is an important part of the Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-speed Railway and the main channel connecting Southwest China with Central and North China. [Photo/Xinhua]
