Situated along the Jinsha River and filled with endless mountains, Jinyang is a national-level impoverished county. To shake off poverty, the local government has been devoted to building roads in recent years. By the end of 2019, the county had completed the building of 329.9 kilometers of asphalt roads and 866.8 kilometers of hardened roads, connecting all the townships and villages in Jinyang county.
