According to the China State Railway Group Co Ltd, transportation capabilities in eastern Fujian and western Zhejiang will be improved a lot, and the history of no trains in eight counties or cities in the two provinces ended as the railway section between Quzhou and Ningde started operation.

Also, the Lanzhou West-Xining railway section will be adjusted to better serve the development of the Lanzhou-Xining city cluster.

Cargo transportation capabilities will be further enhanced, among which the number of China-Europe freight trains will increase to 73 after the adjustment.
