Tianjin Port opens new Belt and Road shipping route

Tianjin Port (Group) Co Ltd on Oct 27 officially opened its fourth Belt and Road shipping route of this year, which starts from Tianjin port and extends southward to the Port of Singapore, Port of Colombo and others. This voyage would import 718 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) of mechanical and medical equipment, chemicals and daily necessities. Tianjin Port has launched nine routes for domestic and foreign trade this year, including six container liner routes and four to ASEAN countries, said Ren Wei from Tianjin Port Holdings Co Ltd.
