The strawberry industry was introduced in 2013 in Daibu town of Huize county in Southwest China's Yunnan province. Situated on the main peak of Wumeng Mountain, Huize county is suitable for strawberry cultivation. In 2020, the county saw 50,000 mu (3,333 hectares) of strawberry plantation area and over 20 primary strawberry-processing enterprises. The strawberry industry, as a driver for the local service industry, not only helps with employment and brings more income for residents, but also supports sustainable rural revitalization.
