Wetland in Hainan provides favorable habitat for waterbirds

South China's Hainan Island has launched a survey of waterbirds wintering across the island, covering 50 coastal habitats of waterbirds, to better understand their species, numbers and distribution. A total of 30,700 waterbirds belonging to 65 species were recorded during the survey this year. Feb 2 marks the 25th World Wetlands Day.
