China-Laos railway marks a key milestone

The Jingzhai Tunnel of China-Laos Railway was drilled through on June 5, 2021, marking the completion of 167 tunnels of the railway. Spanning over 1,000 kilometers, the China-Laos Railway begins from Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan province, and ends at Vientiane, capital of Laos. It is scheduled to be put into operation at the end of this year.It will take only over 3 hours to travel from Kunming to Jinghong city in Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture and one day to Vientiane.
