The Yellow River Conservancy Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources launched the annual water-sediment regulating operation on June 19 to discharge water from three reservoirs, namely Wanjiazhai, Sanmenxia and Xiaolangdi, on the middle reaches of the Yellow River, to clear up sediment in the river before flood season.
