Pumped-storage power station ensures supply in East China

With a total installed capacity of 1 million kilowatts, the power station is equipped with four reversible pump turbine generator sets, each producing 250,000 kilowatts. The power station includes the head reservoir, lower reservoir, water conveyance system, underground power house, and switchyard. It acts as a power bank for the local power system, which stores water at a high altitude by using electricity when power storage is sufficient, and releases the water to cope with power shortages when needed.
