The first liquefied natural gas (LNG) filling wharf in the Three Gorges region is set to open for operations after the main part of the project passed the acceptance test. Located in Guizhou town, north of the Yangtze River, and about 36 kilometers from the Three Gorges Dam, the project has a 7,000-ton LNG refueling berth, with a designed refueling capacity of 31,000 tons per year. The project is of significant importance for protecting the Yangtze River and will take a leading role in offering services for vessels in using clean energy and reducing waste emissions, which will further promote ecological conservation in the river and high-quality development of ship traffic.
