Workers are constructing a bridge of Zhangnan expressway (from Zhangjiajie city, Hunan province to Nanchong city, Sichuan province) in Xianfeng county of Hubei province, Central China, on May 10. The Laoshan tunnel and Meiziya tunnel were completed a few days before, laying a foundation for the full opening of the Zhangnan expressway. As a national project, the Zhangnan expressway runs through the Wuling Mountains area, connecting central and western provinces and cities such as Hunan, Chongqing and Sichuan. It will further promote the integrative development of these regions after completion. [Photo/Xinhua]
