Floating photovoltaic power stations in Ningxia, NW China

A 3×5.98 megawatts floating distributed photovoltaic power project at Ningdong power plant in Lingwu city, Northwest China’s Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on June 17, 2022. In Majiatan town of Lingwu city, shiny photovoltaic panels float on the lake. The project was initiated by Ningxia Power Co under the China Energy Investment Corp, and currently is entering the final stages of completion. Covering a water area of 300 mu (20 hectares) with an installed capacity of 17.94 megawatts, the project helps save land resources and paves an innovative way for green energy development.
