In recent years, coastal areas in Fujian have been vigorously exploring ways to replace traditional net-cage aquaculture farming with mechanical and intelligent large steel-structure platforms. It is expected to gradually expand marine aquaculture farming areas from coastal waters to deep seas, promoting modernization and upgrade of the marine industry. Since 2019, Lianjiang county has established 10 sets of aquaculture farming platforms, which effectively relieves the shortage of offshore fishery farming resources and the limited development of marine fishing industry, further improving the scale and efficiency of fishery production.
