China sees steady foreign trade growth in first 11 months

China’s foreign trade of goods expanded 8.6 percent year-on-year to 38.34 trillion yuan (about $5.78 trillion) in the first 11 months of this year, according to the General Administration of Customs. Exports rose 11.9 percent year-on-year to 21.84 trillion yuan, and imports increased 4.6 percent from a year ago, to 16.5 trillion yuan, resulting in a trade surplus of 5.34 trillion yuan, up 42.8 percent year-on-year.
