Retail sales of consumer goods totaled 7.07 trillion yuan in the first quarter of 2015, a year-on-year increase of 10.6 percent, the National Bureau of Statistics announced on April 15.

Sheng Laiyun, spokesman for the National Bureau of Statistics, said at a press conference that the online retail sales of goods and services reached 760.7 billion yuan, rising 41.3 percent year-on-year.

“The online retail sales of goods registered 631 billion yuan, up by 41 percent, accounting for 8.9 percent of the total retail sales of consumer goods. The online retail sales of services were 129.7 billion yuan, up by 43 percent,” he said.
