SHIJIAZHUANG — An investment of 37 billion yuan (about $5.2 billion) was inked for the Langfang area of the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone on Oct 10.
A total of four projects worth 37 billion yuan were reached at an investment promotion briefing in the city of Shijiazhuang.
The Beijing Daxing International Airport sits at the junction of Beijing's Daxing district and Langfang in Hebei province. The economic zone has a planned area of 150 square km in total and will develop industries ranging from international medical care, airport guarantee and support services, to international convention and exhibition, comprehensive-purpose bonded areas, as well as aviation logistics.
The Langfang area covers 100 square km, which is to be built into aviation logistics and science and technology innovation areas. According to the plan of the economic zone, investment in the Langfang area will reach 300 billion yuan, with around 500,000 jobs created by 2035.
The investment promotion briefing is held to introduce the Langfang area to the world and invite global strategic investors to join in the area's development.
