BEIJING — A total of 826,500 investors in China opened accounts to trade stocks on the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses in November, industry data showed.
The number was up 4.12 percent from October, according to the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited.
Individual investors accounted for the majority of the newly added investors, reaching around 824,400 last month, while some 2,100 institutional investors opened accounts.
By the end of November, the number of individual investors with A-share accounts reached 157.9 million with approximately 2.4 million in the B-share market.
