Latest developments in epidemic control on April 11

BEIJING — Here are the latest developments on the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in China:

— Chinese health authority said on April 11 that it received reports of 46 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland on April 10, of which 42 were imported.

Four new domestically transmitted cases were reported, with three in Guangdong and one in Heilongjiang.

— A total of 70 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery on April 10, while the number of severe cases decreased by three to 141.

— As of April 10, the mainland had reported a total of 1,183 imported cases. Of the cases, 449 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery, and 734 were being treated with 37 in severe condition.

The overall confirmed cases on the mainland had reached 81,953 by April 10, including 1,089 patients who were still being treated, 77,525 people who had been discharged after recovery, and 3,339 people who died of the disease.

— Central China's Hubei province reported no new confirmed cases of COVID-19, but three new deaths on April 10.

The province had 673 asymptomatic cases under medical observation by April 10, after 19 cases were ruled out while 17 new carriers were reported.

— Shanghai reported no new locally transmitted cases of COVID-19 and no imported cases on April 10.

— Northeast China's Heilongjiang province on April 10 reported 22 new confirmed cases from overseas.
