BEIJING — Beijing rolled out nine measures to support micro, small and medium-sized businesses in the city including easing the approval process for resuming work, local authorities said on April 17.
Businesses closely related to people's livelihood such as restaurants, grocery shops, beauty salons, convenience stores and repair shops can decide to resume work and production at their own discretion, according to the city's economic planner.
Outdoor tourist sites and sports venues can also resume operation in a safe and orderly manner, said Tan Xuxiang, head of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform.
Other measures include extending the period for rent cuts and waivers, strengthening financial support for the businesses, and strengthening assistance to foreign trade enterprises.
