BEIJING — The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of officials on June 16. 

Hu Zhenjiang was appointed deputy head of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

Yang Jin was named permanent delegate to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, replacing Shen Yang.

Meng Qingfeng was removed from the post of vice-minister of public security.

Li Jian no longer serves as deputy head of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
