URUMQI — Authorities have promoted more than 200 cultural and tourism activities in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region to attract tourists during the National Day holiday.
The activities include skiing, bird watching, bonfire parties, and food tasting, according to the regional department of culture and tourism.
Xinjiang has also launched nine driving routes for tourists, as self-driving tours have become increasingly popular.
Epidemic prevention and control measures remain in place in tourist attractions in Xinjiang, and tourists need to wear masks, have their temperature taken and health code checked before entry.
